David Hanig

I have always been into speed, kind of like a moth to a flame. My mother gave up a long time ago discouraging it. She has embraced it and supported it. I think motorcycle racing is one of the purest of the motorsports as the rider is a bigger contributor to the equation, more so than the machine in most cases. It is the best way I know of to escape from reality and blow off some steam on the weekends. I believe in the work hard, play hard mantra. With a very modest upbringing, I learned if you want to do something big and be someone... It's a matter of how hard are you willing to work to get there. When I am not racing I like to read fiction and nonfiction novels, technical magazines, play tennis and take long walks on the beach...
